Here is a selection of my freelance web projects. Some of them have been done for my clients, while others have been produced for friends and family.
Visit the Smokin' Jackets website: Smokin Jackets Website
The Smokin' Jackets function Band formed in 2000 and have been performing covers of famous (and not so famous) songs ever since. They perform at weddings, office parties, birthdays, and at many other functions and parties located in and around East Anglia, UK.
They play songs made as far back as the 1950's all the way up to the present day, and are popular amongst old and young alike. They needed their old website updating, and they wanted to make it look both warming and professional. They also found it important to have the website well-coded, and to be Google-friendly. So I redesigned their site fresh for 2008.
Visit the M&A website: M&A Website
Personalizables.co.uk is the website of M&A Fridge Magnets, Keyrings and Coasters; the place to buy all sorts of personalised novelty items. The owners wanted a simple website that grabbed the attention of visitors straight away, but didn't overwhelm them with information.
The resulting website is small and easy to use, yet gives good examples of the types of items for sale on the site and also how to buy them. It is the perfect example of a small business website, and is also optimized for search engines to bring as much traffic as possible to the site.
Visit the Pastel Pics website: Pastel Pics Website
Pastel Pics is the online portfolio of Kenny Ollerenshaw. It is a simple site, but provides lots of sample drawings and other artwork, as well as contact details for the artist.
Whereas most of my websites are designed to look and act the same when viewed on most web browsers, this website was optimally designed for use with Internet Explorer 6, as it is this browser that the client (and their clients) use. It conforms to the W3C web standards for CSS and XHTML Strict.
Visit the Mini Blahs website: Mini Blahs Website
Mini Blahs is a digital distribution system aimed at young digital artists of all disciplines. Whether they've produced music, podcasts, videos, films, ebooks or digital artwork, Mini Blahs gives them the opportunity to sell their work, without the need for a manager/label/representative.
For now, the Mini Blahs pre-launch site is up and running, and the final launch date is set to be August 2007. From that point onwards, everyone will be able to sell their digital media at a fraction of the cost it would traditionally be.
Visit the Calvin CMS website: Calvin CMS Website
Calvin will be the first of the next generation of Content Management System. This is the promotional website which aims to inform people about what Calvin is and how it can benefit them and their businesses.
For the moment, it is merely a research tool used to gather information about what people want from a content management system, but will also be used to promote the software using a number of trailers and other promotional material.
